Stunning Butterfly Inspired Summer Garden Wedding

I truly feel that for whatever reason, this little business attracts some of the most amazing clients.  And Emma and Saul were no exception.  When I began working on my sister’s wedding stationery I tried ever so hard to convince her that we should incorporate butterflies into her day–but to no avail, she refused.  But from that moment forward I started manifesting a bride who loved butterflies as much as I do.

And here came Emma!  The first time we chatted I found out that she had selected a Moniuqe Lulliher gown that was in fact COVERED in butterflies.  She spoke about her future wedding day with all the love, enthusiasm and excitement that I could hope for.  She and Saul are both musicians and their day was to be filled with color, music, passion, and celebration!

The incredibly gorgeous bride and groom

Emma and Saul’s save the dates were originally designed and created by her dad and we decided to honor this concept by recreating it with the ALittleAfterNine touch.  Their ceremony was planned to take place at the Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts–in a gorgeous green field under the bright blue sky.  So that is what we went with.  I utilized hand torn paper and on the double sided save the date we featured the beautiful outdoors as well as stunning, vibrant watercolor florals.  Tucked into a vellum envelope, I can only imagine the excitement guests might have felt upon receiving these beauties in the mail!

Emma and Saul’s invitations were designed with her wedding dress and love for color in mind.  Lots of hand painted florals framing the text, another hand torn edge and butterflies everywhere.  In keeping with the stunning color and vellum vibe of their save the dates, we decided to use hand drawn butterflies on a vellum wrap placed on top of a colorful floral jacket to encompass the invitation suite.  Sealed with a pink wax seal–it was a bundle of perfection!  We then decided that the only way to send these suites out was in just as much color so each address was hand painted in ombre onto the outer guest envelopes in an array of colors pulled from the invitations.

Then came the joy of day of planning!  Gorgeous hand painted table numbers, ceremony programs, welcome signage, guest book message directions, stunning bar signage and perfect hand painted vow booklets pulled all of Emma and Saul’s day together in a cohesive bundle of color and joy.  Seeing the pictures still brings so much joy to my heart and I know that this gorgeous ceremony and reception was only the start of a perfect forever love story.
