The Owner and Artist
Katie's journey with hand lettering started unexpectedly in 2016 during a workshop called “Cocktails and Calligraphy.” That single class provided the foundation for her to dive into the world of stationery design.
Initially balancing the launch of a small business alongside a career in teaching meant her creative spark usually ignited late at night—quite literally, a little after nine o’clock.
Operating from Northeast Ohio, ALittleAfterNine blends custom lettering with delicate watercolors to produce completely custom bespoke art and stationery all created by Katie. This ensures clients receive artwork and stationery that reflects their individual stories. Katie is proud to offer completely cohesive designs--beginning with save the dates, moving into wedding invitations and completing the process with wedding day paper goods.
In addition to wedding services she offers custom home decor and has the unique ability to capture your guests live at events for the most magical guest experience.
Katie's style reflects playful love stories with whimsical, colorful and elegant details and she can't wait to help you tell your love story on paper.

Concept & Design
We begin with a conversation about not only your wedding day vision but who you are as a couple in order to truly understand your vision. Together, we craft a design that reflects your unique love story and aesthetic. Clients receive a custom Look Book with inspiration images, a color palette and sketches.
Artisanal Creation
Each piece is handcrafted with precision. Katie hand paints each flower, stem and letter to ensure that the artwork for every couple is entirely reflective of their personal story. No two pieces are ever the same.
The Final Touch
We review every final piece to ensure it meets our high standards. Once approved, your stationery is ready to be delivered to your guests and you're one step closer to one of the most incredible days of the rest of your life!
